Interview with JBL of Roederer

During one of our champagne excursions, Jens Peter had the privilege of interviewing the charismatic Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon of Champagne Louis Roederer.

Dive into the first part of this captivating interview online.

Wine pairing with 2017 Antoine Chevalier, Carkonnia

Antoine Chevalier's Carkonnia was on the wine menu at Restaurant Gastronome in Aarhus.

The skilled Sommelier, Alexander Nielsen, paired the wine with Chironfils Oyster on a bed of last years’ lacto-fermented white asparagus. The plate featured a delicate buttermilk and yoghurt foam on the side, topped with the richness of caviar and bronze fennel.

Antoine himself is an avid oyster enthusiast. If you're ever fortunate enough to visit him, it might be wise to bring a keg along!

Aurelien Gerbais

Jens Peter visits Aurelien Gerbais of Champagne Pierre Gerbais.

It was not meant to become an article but the visit revealed a stunning range of individual wines and a interesting philosophy.

Champagne Master Level

Jens Peter pass the WSG Champagne Master Level an in depth course on Champagne with classes by Peter Liem and Essi Avellan among others.

We highly recommend the class for any champagne lover!

The vineyard Clos des Goisses

Jens Peter spends a day with François Philipponnat of Champagne Philipponnat in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ which focuses on the brilliant vineyard Clos des Goisses.

The interest comes from a briliant article by Tom Stevenson in the world of fine wines.

It results in a greatly inspired article which can be found here.
